DRUG USE AS A CAUSE OF HYPERTHYROIDISM If you suspect that you got hyperthyroidism as a result of the use or discontinuance of a drug, please send me the story (BU007@aol.com) and we'll get it posted here. So far, I've seen reports of and read about the possibilities that these drugs may cause hyperthyroidism either from taking them or discontinuing them: prednisone, d-penicillamine, and lithium. Please write up your stories and send them to me. |
